I did this charcoal drawing on a wood panel. It is 16x16" with a frame on the back for easy hanging. It was made by painting a ground onto the panel, doing the drawing on that, then spraying the finished drawing with fixative and finally several coats of acrylic gel. This makes the surface as durable as a painting. The charcoal does not smear or come off in any way. The sides are finished in black paint and it may be hung as is or framed.
