About the Artist
Artist Statement
My landscape paintings are a fusion of representational and abstract elements, inspired by my connection to the natural world and my interest in exploring the interplay between realism and abstraction.
Each painting begins with a representational depiction of a particular landscape, whether it's a sweeping vista of rolling hills or a quiet corner of a forest. But as I work on the painting, I begin to introduce more abstract elements, playing with color, texture, and shape to create a sense of movement and energy that goes beyond what is physically present in the scene.
My goal is to capture not just the external beauty of the landscape, but also the internal emotions and sensations it evokes. I want my paintings to invite viewers to experience the landscape in a new and different way, to see it through my eyes and feel the emotions that inspired the painting.
Ultimately, my paintings are a reflection of my ongoing exploration of the relationship between the physical world and our subjective experience of it. I believe that by playing with realism and abstraction, I can create paintings that are both beautiful and thought-provoking, inspiring viewers to see the world around them in a new light.
