All art is an interpretation of something. It can be color, subject matter, composition, feeling, shape, and lots of other things. The message of the work lies in what the artist makes important. This series of paintings is inspired by a park near my home, The Milwaukee County Grounds. I had been painting abstractly for a few years but I missed drawing. These paintings are a melding of abstract and realistic subject matter.

Most of these paintings are done in acrylics on a panel. The panel has a cradle on the back that is approximately 1.25” thick. They come wired and ready to hang right out of the box. All you need is a nail.
